For those who don’t know about HAD, it’s a flash journal with a cult following among writers. Their submission calls are infrequent and random. I was lucky enough to get included with this circular flash, based on a memory of a family reunion. I first saw the circular form used by Sunyi Dean in —good, h/t to Stephen Granade.
Read if you like: Circles, yet another story about memory and how memory itself is a circular thing, ATVs.

(Thanks to Elena Zhang for giving me a skull and Aaron Burch, head honcho of HAD.)
